Thanks to the hard work and generous pledges of hundreds of supporters, we reached our goal of £5,000 on our Bus Rescue Mission crowdfunding campaign!
With time still left on the clock, we passed the £5,000 mark, securing every pledge that'd been made so far, as well as qualifying for a extra £5,000 in match funding. This is a great result, and we're delighted to see how much reliable, affordable bus services mean to so many people.
We want to offer our thanks to everyone who helped us to reach the target, from people sharing our campaign on Twitter and Facebook, to people calling friends and family, and handing out flyers at local bus stations, as well, of course, to every one of the 120+ people who pledged amounts from £5 to £500 towards the Bus Rescue Mission. Special thanks go out to Stephanie and Sarah of Fleet, Hampshire, who took Martin on a bus journey to see just how hard it can be to get to vital services when bus routes get cut. You can read the as-it-happened blog of the journey here.
We'll be updating you soon on our plans for the Mission, and then on our progress as we travel the UK providing workshops and guidance to local campaign groups, so keep your eyes open for more on the #BusRescueMission!
