The No Way! Group has long campaigned against the Shrewsbury 'Relief' Road, largely on environmental grounds - it would devastate some of the highest quality landscapes around Shrewsbury - but also because the scheme is totally out of proportion to the perceived congestion in the town centre.
The scheme has soaked up £6m of our money already on consultants' fees, and we think it is disgraceful that the Government is being asked for further massive funds (£80m) without public consultation - or does the Council know the intense hostility to its proposals and is afraid to confront it?
