Help us ensure low train fares are a Government priority

High train fares are bad news for the economy, society and the environment.

We have a real opportunity to put this issue on the agenda of the new Government, which David Cameron has pledged to make ‘the greenest Government ever’.

Our campaign has already persuaded the Liberal Democrats to commit to cutting train fares in their manifesto – now we need to encourage the parties to work together to bring down fares.

Please write to the new Transport Minister Philip Hammond asking him to make affordable train fares a priority for the new coalition Government (the letter will also be copied to Liberal Democrat Transport Minister Norman Baker).

Thank you for your help.
