We're planning our wedding and trying to be as socially and environmentally responsible as possible. We've booked a cottage outside Rome for our honeymoon. I have my heart set on not flying, but while we could both fly for £200, we can't seem to find train tickets for less than £500, which is way out of our budget. This is despite going on Seat 61 and Rail Europe as soon as tickets were released.

I'm campaigning against a new road that could be built in my area. I'm having a problem with my local paper which is biased in favour of the road scheme. Can people give me any ideas for getting them to publish the other side of the story?

Hi, I'm looking for advice on using my bike for work: I'm an outreach worker for the NHS. I have been provided with a lease car for which the lease expires shortly. I have told my employer that I do not intend to lease or buy another car: instead I plan to use public transport and mainly my cycle for undertaking work.

We've recently got rid of our car and it's going well, but we're worried about our next holiday.
We'd like to go on a camping trip to a remote area of England. We want to be comfy so we'll need quite a lot of camping gear as well as food, clothes etc. Without a car we're concerned that we'll have too much to carry by train and getting to and from the campsite will be too difficult.

My boss and I are attending a three-day meeting in Vienna this December, and I need to arrange the transport. How can I find out how to get there without flying?
I know my boss will say that it’s not worth taking the train as it will take too long and probably be more expensive than flying. Do you have any suggestions of how to persuade her that it’s a good idea?
