Two weeks left to have your say on fares

Former campaigner's picture

15 June 2012: There's just two weeks’ left to have your say in the Government’s big consultation on rail fares.

Thanks to the thousands of Fair Fares Now supporters taking action, we got the Government to do this review. Your action now can make sure the chance for change doesn’t slip away. So do please take a few minutes to respond.

Take Action: take part in the Fares Review by filling in our short form [note: the review is now closed].

The Government will announce in August how much fares will go up next January. At the moment, they’re planning to raise fares by over 6 per cent at a time when most people’s wages aren’t going up. A strong message now will make them think again.

I know that people are busy and it’s difficult to find the time for things like this but we’ve made it easy to respond – just fill in our easy-to-use form (before it closes on 28 June) to tell the Government it’s time for cheaper, simpler and fairer fares.
