Campaigners respond to National Infrastructure Commission support for Crossrail 2

10 March 2016

Campaign for Better Transport has welcomed the National Infrastructure Commission's support for Crossrail 2 in London.

Stephen Joseph, Chief Executive, Campaign for Better Transport said:

"We welcome the Commission's conclusion that investing in public transport schemes like Crossrail 2 should be the key priority for London's transport infrastructure. High quality public transport is the right solution for a vibrant modern world city. There's no case for big new roads in the capital which would bring congestion and pollution as well as diverting vital funds."
