This recently established group will support improvements at Crewkerne Station and campaign to ensure that facilities are maintained.
We meet every Thursday on the station; please get in touch for details.
December 2015: The Friends of Crewkerne Station are preparing to respond to the consultation on the South Western rail franchise. They have also been busy gardening and painting at the station. Their latest newsletter has more details, and also covers car parking and bus services at the station.
February 2014: Crewkerne made the national news with a landslip on the bank at Misterton but after a lot of hard work, service is almost restored to normal. The winter weekend £10 returns have proved very popular with standing room only on some trains. An open day is planned for Saturday 26 April, to coincide with the passing visit of a steam train. Find out more in the latest newsletter.
December 2011: The Friends of Crewkerne Station have been busy recruiting members and securing improvements at the station. Find out more in their newsletter.
September 2011: The station toilets are to be refurbished during October-December. It is not policy to provide temporary toilets while refurbishments are taking place, but since there are no public toilets anywhere in the vicinity, the Friends of Crewkerne Station have persuaded South West Trains to change their minds. There will now be temporary toilets on the station during the refurbishment.
