English Regional Transport Association (ERTA)

Area: Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire
Interests: Rail

ERTA seeks to promote better, more affordable and accessible public transport. This means we observe and comment on existing transport matters as well as advocating reopening of lines and reinstatements where we feel appropriate. We take a strategic view and believe local line reopenings should be equal to big projects like HS2 and considered 'strategic infrastructure' as every little helps potentially. We also want more freight by rail and believe a growing rail network helps to bring this about like Oxbridge (East-West Rail) and Bedford-Northampton.

We welcome people to join. We have numerous opportunities for volunteers. Qualities we like are honesty, reliability, enthusiasm and flexibility. We aim to hold stalls to reach out into communities and our top rail reopening after East-West Rail is Bedford-Northampton. Other interjections on other schemes are on our website and Blogspot. We hold meetings with key people called 'delegated meetings' seeking to win them to our causes.
