Mid Cheshire Rail Link Campaign

Members of the Mid Cheshire Rail Link Campaign

Area: Cheshire
Interests: Rail

We are campaigning to re-start a passenger service on the railway line which runs off the Mid Cheshire Line (Chester to Manchester) at Northwich and down the Mid Cheshire Link Line to Crewe. The Mid Cheshire Line has stations at Chester, Mouldsworth, Delamere, Cuddington, Greenbank, Northwich, Lostock Gralam, Plumley, Knutsford, Mobberley, Ashley, Hale and Altrincham and a passenger service along the Link Line will allow people from all those stations to travel to Crewe without having to change at Stockport or Chester.

The Mid Cheshire Link Line is not being fully utilised at the moment as it's mostly used for freight. Re-starting this passenger service will include the creation of a new station at Gadbrook Park and the re-opening of the Middlewich Station, closed in 1960.
