Campaigners respond to worsening potholes crisis

3 April 2014
Campaign for Better Transport has responded to new figures from local authorities showing the backlog of repairs to local roads has risen to an estimated £12bn.

James MacColl, Camapigns Director, Campaign for Better Transport said

"Many local roads are in an appalling state and urgent action is needed. Rather than spending huge sums on big new roads that people don't want, Government needs a properly funded road repair stategy. This would be popular, creating jobs and benefiting all road users."
