Campaign for Better Transport slammed new Government plans to ease controls on development at motorway junctions and service stations announced today.
CEO Stephen Joseph said: "This is a recipe for more congestion, car development and sprawl across the countryside. It will worsen rather than help the economy. We will be following the impacts and showing decision makers the need to reverse this decision".
