Campaign for Better Transport has welcomed the launch of a £2 million Government funding pot for ecargo bikes after a year of campaigning for a fund to help businesses ditch diesel vans and go electric.
Darren Shirley, Chief Executive of Campaign for Better Transport, said: “This fund is a welcome step towards helping more businesses ditch diesel vans and creating cleaner, greener towns and cities. Improving the uptake of ecargo bikes will cut congestion, reduce carbon dioxide emissions and improve air pollution. We campaigned for this funding so we are very happy to see the Government has been listening.”
