Campaign for Better Transport responds to the ORR inquiry into the timetable disruption in May 2018

20 September 2018

Responding to the release of the interim report of the ORR Inquiry into the chaos caused by the introduction of a new rail timetable in May, Darren Shirley, Chief Executive of Campaign for Better Transport, said:

"There are clear and widespread failings with the way the railways are structured and operate that has failed passengers this year. The interim findings of the ORR inquiry are further evidence as to why the review of the railway, and reforms that must follow, should prioritise the interests and needs of the people who use the railways."
