Press comment on today's road pricing report

15 January 2008
Commenting today on the Policy Exchange report Towards better transport – Funding new infrastructure with future road pricing revenue [1], Rebecca Lush Blum, the roads and climate campaigner at the Campaign for Better Transport [2], said:

"Any money raised from road pricing must be invested in improving public transport for the benefit of everyone, the economy and the environment. Building more roads will simply lead to more traffic and more congestion and is not the long-term answer to tackling traffic problems or climate change."
