Phillipa has worked on the Freight on Rail campaign since 2001. Previously, she had a varied private sector career, with management and consultancy experience and marketing and PR roles in the computer industry. This background has given her insight into how the private, public and NGO sectors work. Her strong networking skills have allowed her to develop meaningful industry relationships which she is able to put to use in her UK and European campaigning.
When I joined the organisation congestion was reaching crazy levels, cars were disrupting communities, walking and cycling were threatened, and aviation was getting out of hand: it was clear that we’d got the transport balance wrong, and something needed to be done about it.
