Prime Minister’s helicopter intervention ‘an absolute disgrace’, says transport charity
Responding to the news that the Prime Minister personally intervened to prevent the RAF terminating a £40 million helicopter contract so that he can continue to fly in them, Norman Baker from Campaign for Better Transport said:
“Using taxpayers money to fund his private helicopter obsession during a climate crisis and when millions of people are struggling to afford to heat their homes this winter is an absolute disgrace. The Prime Minister’s lack of regard for the environment and the public purse is staggering.”
