Better Transport Week

Better Transport Week is Campaign for Better Transport's annual celebration of sustainable transport.

Better Transport Week 2025 – celebrating the transport that connects communities

Better transport – transport that is safe, accessible, affordable, reliable, integrated and green – does amazing things.  It connects communities and brings people together; creates a thriving economy and revitalises local areas; it’s good for our health and wellbeing; and it cleans up our air and tackles climate change. We think that’s something worth celebrating!

This year, our annual celebration of sustainable transport took place from 16 to 22 June and the theme for the week was how better transport can help connect communities and bring people together.

From Leeds to London, Bristol to Blackpool, there were exciting events all over the country to celebrate Better Transport Week, as well as some enticing online events. And even better – most of them were free to attend.

“We saw the best of sustainable transport in action, and some real examples of what investment and collaboration can achieve.”

Thanks to all our supporters, donors, followers, partners and sponsors for helping make Better Transport Week 2025 a success. We hope you’ll join us again next year from 15 to 21 June to celebrate the connections that matter!

"Better Transport Week is a brilliant chance to shine a light on the local transport champions who keep passengers moving, and to swap ideas and build the relationships that make our transport networks stronger."

I care about transport. I don’t want a future of traffic jams and dirty air. I want the Government to back public transport for a greener, fairer transport future. Please send me campaign actions and updates by email.
