Better Transport Week

Better Transport Week is Campaign for Better Transport's annual celebration of public transport, shared and active travel.

Better Transport Week 2026

Celebrating how better transport connects people and places

Better transport – transport that is safe, accessible, affordable, reliable, integrated and green – does amazing things.  It connects communities and brings people together; creates a thriving economy and revitalises local areas; it’s good for our health and wellbeing; and it cleans up our air and tackles climate change. We think that’s something worth celebrating!

This year, our annual celebration of sustainable transport will take place from 15 to 21 June and the theme for the week is celebrating how better transport connects people and places.

Packed with exciting online and in person events all over the country, there will be something for everyone. Even better, most will be completely free to attend. You can find out what we got up to last year in this blog.

“Transport shapes our days and our lives, connecting us to friends and family, the things we need and the places we love. Better Transport Week is an opportunity to celebrate transport at its best, and the connections that it makes possible” – Jenny Agutter.

We hope you’ll join us this year to celebrate the connections that matter. Here’s how to get involved:

I care about transport. I don’t want a future of traffic jams and dirty air. I want the Government to back public transport for a greener, fairer transport future. Please send me campaign actions and updates by email.
