Research welcomed that looks at non-motorists’ experiences of roads

Responding to the publication of Transport Focus’s Cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians: measuring their satisfaction with Highways England’s network, Bridget Fox, Sustainable Transport Campaigner for Campaign for Better Transport, said:

“We welcome this work putting the needs of cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians on the agenda. Too many road schemes treat non-motorists as an after thought. We look forward to hearing the results, and expect this will further strengthen the case for all major roads having a green retrofit to make them safe and accessible for everyone.”
