Experience

Rowan has had a varied career – starting with a degree in Production Engineering and an internship at IBM , switching to becoming an IT programmer and business analyst at Accenture, before finally settling on a career in Finance and double entry bookkeeping. She was also a secondary school governor for 16 years, ending with a stint as Chair of Governors – a fulfilling and demanding role, as well as being Treasurer of the PTA, where she learned everything there is to know about organising floats and counting pennies.

Why I work for Campaign for Better Transport:

I am aware how lucky I am in London to have access to multiple forms of frequent and integrated transport, and what a game changer it is for access to jobs and opportunities. I want everyone in the country to have the same opportunities. It would also be nice to be able to get a train to Glasgow for less than an airfare.
