Along with Bus Users UK, Clean Cities Campaign, Client Earth, CPRE the countryside charity, Cycling UK, Greener Vision, Greenpeace UK, Institute for Public Policy Research, Intergenerational Foundation, Living Streets, London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Possible, Transport Action Network and Urban Transport Group, Campaign for Better Transport wrote to the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt MP urging him to use the upcoming Budget to protect passengers from the current funding squeeze and the cost-of-living crisis threatening public transport services.
