The Budget should spread prosperity to every postcode by reconnecting the one in seven people in England (8.8 million people) currently at risk of being left behind by inadequate bus services, according to analysis by Campaign for Better Transport. The charity is urging ministers to use the upcoming Budget to invest an extra £300 million a year in local buses, enough to ensure every community has access to a decent bus service.
