Campaign for Better Transport is calling for greater recognition of the value of the rail network in delivering sustainable economic growth and regional equality as it publishes its latest report at the Labour Party Conference today.
Responding to the Government giving the ‘green light’ to 21 major infrastructure projects, Ben Plowden, Chief Executive of Campaign for Better Transport said:
Bus stops with outdated, incorrect or missing timetables should be consigned to history. A national standard for printed information at bus stops is needed to banish one of the greatest frustrations faced by bus passengers, a report by Campaign for Better Transport and Optibus recommends.
I care about transport. I don’t want a future of traffic jams and dirty air. I want the Government to back public transport for a greener, fairer transport future. Please send me campaign actions and updates by email.
